This legendary songbird started her career in the 60's at the legendary Studio One and with singer Bob Andy that had classics such as Young Gifted and Black. She was one of the original "I-Threes" the famous backup singers for Bob Marley and the Wailers.She has been making beautiful music on her own for many, many years and her list of hits are endless. She is also known royally as the "Queen of Reggae".
On her album "Truly" she teamed up with the legendary reggae producer Clement Dodd with whom she started singing more than 30 years ago. Big hits like "My Ambition", "No, No" and the title track, as well as three unreleased tracks form the 60's made the album a great seller.
Marcia made great strides musically on her "Carousel" album with the track "Electric Boogie" which created the dance craze the "Electric Slide". There are several other good songs on the album including: The title track, "Carousel"; Sugar Shack", "Groovin", "Do unto Others", "Money in the Bank"; a remake on "Groovin" & "The One who really Loves You" gave Marcia the edge to reach the Top Album Charts in America.
Whether part of a group or as a sole artist Queen Marcia's true talent shines through time and time again.
On her latest "Certified" Album Marcia displays her vocal talent in the sentimental arena and the album is geared for lovers.
